april 14 meeting

A small group of Plymouth quilters gathered at Patricia’s for the April meeting. Miriam arrived first with a crocheted Easter chick that pooped jelly beans for our hostess. Homemade GF brownies and tea topped off the evening together
SHOW 'N TELL

Shannon is back at work at the Bernina store near Northgate, now owned by Needle & I. Good news, Peter is getting better!

Check out this wonderful, scrappy, huge, colorful quilt that Miriam is putting together!

Dear Harriet joined us with no quilts but instead news of curtains being made at home with buffalo checked fabric. Always a designer!

Janet made this to-die-for quilt for her older sister. Sis picked out the bird fabric and Janet developed the design and finished it with applique leaves all over.

Patricia showed her finished Saint Jane quilt (no pic yet) and in-progress Aki quilt top. She let us know that Okan Arts Shop will be moving in with The Quilting Loft this summer so customers can find her fabrics while she hangs out at her cabin.

march 14 meeting

Flora was our lovely hostess for the April. Five of us gathered for a lovely evening.

Show N' Tell
Wow. Flora sold a quilt at The Center for Wooden Boats gala, Steer by the Stars, that wasn't even finished. For $500!

Here are more quilts that Flora had finished:

Flora's project from this year's Salish Weaving retreat is a gorgeous pillow with a fringe:

Look at this stunning broken rail quilt Janet made with burgundy highlights. It’s a head start for a YF senior next year:

For this year’s YF senior, Ben Martin, Janet is incorporating a baby quilt that Diane Roubal made for the student as a baby in 1996. The back and front of the small quilt are shown below. That will be an interesting design challenge!

Miriam worked with the circles that Janet gave her last month and finished up a small quilt:

And the Easter apron for her baking daughter:

And more of her wonderful scappy squares:

Harriet was a busy quilter. This one will be given to House of Healing:

This incredible production incorporated curved quilting and yukata cottons for a very lucky great nephew:

And more:

Pris sewed more blocks for her quilt for Sarah Blasevic, her YF senior:

Patricia let us know that all her new quilts were at the photographer’s. She’s working hard getting ready for StashFest and just took on the role of president for CQA.
